Camera angle (important)
- Recommended: side view from the beach — surfer profile visible full ride.
- OK: pier, low angle from shore, stable tripod or handheld tracking.
- Limited: drone / aerial / top-down — pose may be partial; scores may be unreliable.
- Not supported: purely front-facing, far zoom where body is tiny, heavy obstruction.
Filming tips
- One surfer per clip, one wave when possible.
- Keep the surfer centred and large in frame.
- Good light; avoid extreme backlight.
- Wave pools & surf parks: same side profile works best.
